When a couple divorces, you often hear others say how surprised they are. While they know people divorce all the time they never thought that particular couple would divorce.
It’s unsurprising that outsiders can have trouble predicting a divorce, as sometimes one of the divorcing spouses never sees it coming either.
Here are some signs to look for that may indicate your spouse will seek to divorce you:
They avoid you
You walk into the kitchen in the morning and your spouse walks out. You arrive home from work and they have just left to meet friends. Where once all the doorways in your house held the chance for a quick cuddle, they now appear to work on a strict one-in-one-out policy.
They let you have your way
Once if you wanted beef for this weekend’s BBQ and your spouse wanted fish, it developed into a long argument as it always does over so many little issues. This time, they just said OK to your suggestion without putting up a fight. They did the same when you told them you were thinking of inviting your friends, even though they normally fight tooth and nail to avoid doing so. They just said yes.
This probably doesn’t mean they think you have been right about these things all along. More likely, it means they no longer care, as they have already decided your days together are numbered.
